Dons open to offers
Aberdeen, 13:13, January 21, 2010 ,
Aberdeen boss Mark McGhee has admitted that he is prepared to listen to offers for contract rebels Lee Miller and Gary McDonald.
The Dons boss had seen the pair as integral to his future plans for the club but after they have both refused to open talks about new deals, he feels he has no choice but to listen to offers - if they were to come in.
Both players would be free agents in the summer so McGhee would rather offload them now to bring in some funds, although he reveals that none have been forthcoming so far.
"I would rather not move players on but we have to consider every option including that possibility," McGhee said.
"No one has come in for Lee or any of the other players so far but we have to keep an open mind.
"We are working away on various options with regards to strengthening the squad.
"Inquiries have been made but there have been no definitive answers. It is an ongoing process."
Aberdeen are still involved in talks over new contracts with captain Mark Kerr and defender Charlie Mulgrew, while Fraser Fyvie has so far failed to accept new terms on an extension.
