Accrington manager Paul Cook was delighted by the attitude of his players as they fought from behind to claim a 1-1 draw with high-flying Shrewsbury.
The Shrews looked to be heading to all three points, and promotion, thanks to Terry Gornell's first-half effort. But Stanley kept battling and pegged their guests back courtesy of Bryan Hughes' late leveller. For Cook, the result and performance illustrated his team's resolve perfectly. "We created a lot of chances and worked hard and it feels like a win for us against a good team," he said. "We got beat at Cheltenham last week but we have responded well. We showed a lot of character and didn't buckle when we went 1-0 down and kept pressing. "We know Bryan Hughes can do that and it was a great goal but we win as a team and lose as a team and it's not about individuals."
