Brown sees good signs for Shots
Aldershot defender Troy Brown insists the club are heading into the new npower League Two season in a positive mood.
The Shots finished 11th last season, six points outside the play-off positions, and Brown believes manager Dean Holdsworth's decision to stay at the club after interest from Crawley could be key to the club's fortunes. He told BBC Surrey: "The gaffer committing himself to the club is a massive boost. There is every right to be enthusiastic about the season. "We lost some very good players but we've replaced them. We're gelling well and playing some good stuff." The 21-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Aldershot and jumped at the chance to return after he was released by Rotherham. He added: "The second half of last season was brilliant and we just missed out on the play-offs. It's great to come back and play here."
