However, under shrewd manager Arsene Wenger, who has been at the helm since 1996, the Gunners have maintained their ‘Big Three’ status.

The Frenchman is the club’s longest-serving manager in terms of matches, as well as being the club’s most successful coach.

In 2007/08 Arsenal finished third in the Premiership but the Gunners have championed the Premiership a total of three times.

The club’s home ground is The Emirates Stadium in north London, having moved from their Highbury home in 2006, which has a capacity of over 60,000.
