Agent denies midfielder claims

Arsenal, 14:45, June 9, 2009

Andrei Arshavin's agent says the midfielder has not demanded a pay rise from Arsenal and is not looking to move on.

Arshavin only joined the Gunners in January but reports have already suggested he could be on the move after becoming disgruntled with the amount of tax he will have to pay.
From April 2010 those earning over £150,000 a year will have to pay 50p in the pound and it has been suggested the midfielder could look to return to Russia.
However, his agent Dennis Lachter insists there is no truth in the rumours.
"No he isn't looking for a pay rise at the moment, he is happy," Lachter told setanta.com. "I cannot comment on that, it is made up by somebody I think. As far as I know the tax rate has not come in yet."
