Ankle injury for winger

Arsenal, 10:08, September 8, 2010 , | 2 Comments

Arsenal's injury curse has struck again as Theo Walcott picked up an ankle injury playing for England on Tuesday night.

The winger who has had a great start to the current campaign went over on the ankle in the build up to England's opener against Switzerland on Tuesday and had to be stretchered off.
Whilst the injury is not thought to be as bad as was first feared he is still going to be out of the side for at least two weeks after he was taken to hospital for an X-ray.
England manager Fabio Capello said: "It's a little problem, or not so big problem.
"He said (he'll be back) in two weeks."
Arsenal will run their own checks on the problem to find out the full extent on the injury but he looks certain to miss this weekend's clash with Bolton at the very least.
