Arsene Wenger has vowed to put out an experienced Arsenal side against Reading tonight that will include Andrei Arshavin.
The Gunners boss is taking the Capital One Cup seriously, and although changes will be made and players will be rested, it will still be a strong side that takes on the Royals.
Arshavin came on against Queens Park Rangers at the weekend and after playing his part in the goal, will start against Reading.
"Andrei is a classy player," Wenger said. "He is a top professional with a great attitude. You could see when he came on [on Saturday], his brightness and his intelligence with the final ball is fantastic."
Elsewhere Gervinho has been ruled out with an ankle injury, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is sidelined with a hip injury and will not be risked in the clash.
Jack Wilshere will be rested after playing 67 minutes against QPR and although Wenger has vowed to go with experience, youngsters Serge Gnabry, Martin Angha, Thomas Eisfeld and Hector Bellerin will be hoping to be in the squad.
