Barca ace linked
Arsenal are being linked with a move for Ibrahim Afellay, who has been told he can leave Barcelona on a season-long loan deal.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is hoping to bring in at least two more players before the transfer window closes and could be ready to swoop for the 26-year-old, who is surplus to requirements.
The attacking midfielder has found life hard at Barca since arriving from PSV 18 months ago, which is hardly surprising considering the competition for places at the Nou Camp.
The Dutchman's agent Rob Jansen says a loan move will happen before Friday's deadline and the Gunners along with Liverpool and Tottenham have been strongly linked.
"I expect Afellay to leave Barcelona on loan before the transfer window closes," Jansen revealed. "Talks are ongoing with several clubs. He has concrete interest from England.
"But it all depends on Barcelona, though. They decide where their players are going."
