Barca star eyed by Wenger

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reported to be chasing highly-rated Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets.

The 20-year-old, who has broken into the Barca first-team this season, is out of contract at the Nou Camp in the summer and he is stalling on putting pen-to-paper on a new deal that will see him stay at the club beyond the end of the season.

Busquets is rated among the best young midfielders in Europe and Wenger has been alerted to his contract situation and is keeping in touch with developments.

Barca may decide to do a deal when the transfer window opens in January, rather than risk losing him for nothing in the summer, and the Gunners are in the hunt.
