Bendtner looks to future
Arsenal, 13:38, February 3, 2010 ,
Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner claims he is 'almost back to 100 per cent' after his lengthy spell on the sidelines.
The Danish international suffered a groin injury back in November but made his return after three months on the sidelines in Arsenal's loss to Manchester United at the weekend.
Bendtner is now looking forward to Arsenal's up-coming fixtures but admits his time out injured was a difficult period.
He said: "If you look at the programme now, there are only four months left, then we are at the World Cup. It's gone so quickly. When people say they have been out with long-term injuries and they say it's hell, I can completely understand that now.
"It's difficult (spending time out injured), and you come in to training each day doing the same things. But you motivate by telling yourself that one day soon you will be better. When you come back you know you will find yourself again, and you are going to be strong."
The 22-year-old believes he is close to full fitness and feels he will continue to improve after his injury setback.
He added: "You never know what's going to happen, but I'm almost back to 100 per cent now and I'm going to get better and better all the time. I feel fine in training so let's see."
