Defender return boosts Wenger
Arsenal, 09:08, November 24, 2009 ,
Kieran Gibbs is set to return as Arsenal look to bounce back from defeat against Standard Liege in the Champions League tonight.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is still smarting from the 1-0 defeat against Sunderland on Saturday and is demanding a response from his players as they look to top their qualifying group.
Gibbs is back in contention after recovering from a foot injury, while Theo Walcott is expected to play some part as Wenger tinkers with his starting eleven.
"We have a good opportunity to finish first in the group and qualify, then after we can think about Chelsea," Wenger revealed. "The perfect way is to respond after a disappointing result, that is where you judge a big team and that is what we want to do."
