Defensive pair doubtful for Gunners

Arsenal, 14:27, February 24, 2012

Arsene Wenger could have a defensive crisis on his hands for the game with Tottenham as Laurent Koscielny and Kieran Gibbs are doubts.

The Frenchmen is already without Per Mertesacker due to a ankle injury and Sebastien Squillaci because of a muscle strain ahead of the north London derby on Sunday and could be given further bad news if Koscielny and Gibbs are ruled out.
Both players missed last Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Sunderland after picking up their respective injuries in the 4-0 hammering at AC Milan the previous Wednesday.
Wenger was confident both would be fit to face Spurs after sitting out the trip to the north-east but now there are some concerns as to whether both players will have recovered in time.
Arsenal will hand fitness tests to both players, with Koscielny struggling with a knee injury and Gibbs with a knock.
Should either players miss out then Johan Djourou and Carl Jenkinson could come back into the starting XI, the latter having recently returned from a back injury.
Elsewhere, Jack Wilshere and Abou Diaby are both still unavailable while Aaron Ramsey is a doubt.
