Eduardo in action

Arsene Wenger will be closely monitoring the welcome return of striker Eduardo in tonight's reserve clash with Portsmouth.

The Croatian striker has been out of the side since his hideous leg injury which he picked up at Birmingham City last February and his return is a welcome boost to the Gunners boss.

The striker is not expected to make it back to the first team until well into the New Year but the sight of him actually playing a competitive match is a bonus.

It is also one that many observers at St Andrews last February thought they would never see again after seeing the striker's leg bone come bursting through his sock.
