Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has tweeted his disappointment after it was revealed he will not feature at Euro 2012 this summer.
The 20-year-old, who was a key member of the Arsenal squad last season, has not featured for the Gunners in the Premier League this term having sustained a fractured ankle in pre-season.
Wilshere has been on the sidelines attempting to recover before the end of the current campaign despite being told he would make a return back in February.
There were hopes the playmaker would feature in enough games to be match fit for England in the European Championships in Poland and Ukraine this summer, and they can be backed using your free bet.
However, the Three Lions will have to do without the talented midfielder, who will now have to wait until next season to get back into the thick of the action.
Wilshere wrote on Twitter: "Gutted, sad, devastated..its been a test mentally for me this season and it will continue to be tough until I am back out on the pitch.
"My ankle is good, I just have a few niggles and having been out so long I will not be fit enough for the Euro's!
"Trying to get fit so I can help the team next season! No holidays, I just want to play and show AFC fans what I can do!".
