Arsenal look set to be without Cesc Fabregas for the festive period at the very least after he picked up a knee injury.
The Spanish midfielder suffered the injury during the first half of Sunday's 1-1 draw against Liverpool and he was unable to come out for the second 45 minutes.
Fabregas is thought to have damaged knee ligaments and boss Arsene Wenger faces an anxious wait to discover the full extent of the damage.
Early indications suggest he will be missing over Christmas and Wenger will be praying it does not turn out to be more serious.
"Of course it is a blow," the Frenchman said of the injury to his star man and captain. "We do not want to lose a player like that, but we have to cope with it."
