Paris Saint Germain are out of the running for Robin van Persie as Arsene Wenger wants a quick resolution to the situation.
The big spending French outfit have been heavily linked with a move for the Dutchman following his decision not to sign a new contract, but coach Carlo Ancelotti says he will not be making a bid. PSG are one of the few clubs who could match the total package involved in signing the player, but Ancelotti says he is not interested. "Van Persie is not a target of ours, but I think he is for others," the former Chelsea boss revealed. That could leave the way clear for Manchester City and United to battle for his signature, while Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid are watching developments. Meanwhile, Wenger wants a quick resolution to the whole saga, even if that means cashing in on his star man. The Gunners boss would obviously prefer Van Persie to stay but if the player is intent on leaving it is thought Wenger wants a deal done early so he has plenty of time to draft in a replacement.
