Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud says he will get among the goals for the Gunners this season once his confidence returns.
The Frenchman has yet to find the back of the net since arriving at the Emirates Stadium in the summer and there have already been suggestions he could turn out to be a flop after missing some good chances. Giroud came on as a late substitute against Southampton but again failed to break his duck as Arsene Wenger's men cruised to a comfortable 6-1 victory. The striker could get another chance against his former club Montpellier in the Champions League on Tuesday night and says it is only a matter of time before the goals start to flow. "Confidence is so important for a striker," Giroud has revealed. "It's important to keep the faith and to always keep going, even if the goals have not come for me so far. "You have to always work hard because sometimes when you are a striker you can score every opportunity. You just need to keep concentrating on the game and never give up. I'm confident that this season will be a good one."
