Gunners boss calls for instant recovery

Arsenal, Latest news update:

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is challenging his side to bounce back immediately against Manchester City after their shock defeat to QPR.

The Gunners saw their run of seven straight victories in the Premier League halted by the relegation strugglers yesterday, who picked up three much needed points with a 2-1 win at Loftus Road.
Adel Taarabt scored his first goal of the season to put Rangers in front after 22 minutes and, although Theo Walcott brought the visitors back on level terms before the break, his effort failed to spark Wenger's men into life.
Samba Diakite eventually came up with the decisive goal for Mark Hughes's side in the 66th minute and the third placed Arsenal could now be overtaken by rivals Tottenham should they beat Swansea this afternoon.
Wenger's men were certainly not at their best as Rangers won most of the individual battles on the day, but the Frenchman is confident his players will respond in the right way when they face the title challengers in their next game.
He told reporters: "It is a good shock to come back to what has made our strength recently.
"They left us the ball and waited for our mistakes. We took the ball, did not do a lot with it and made the mistakes. At the end of the day that made the result.
"Each football game is a new start. It is not what you have made before that decides the game, it is what you produce on the day.
"We did not create enough to win.
"We know how to respond, we have been exposed to this situation this season.
"We have a good opportunity on Sunday, but it will be needed after giving away the points."
