Gunners dealt Cup final blow
Arsenal, 20:45, February 24, 2011
Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Cesc Fabregas will miss Sunday's Carling Cup final against Brimingham due to a hamstring injury.
The Arsenal skipper picked up the problem in the Gunners' 1-0 Premier League win over Stoke on Wednesday, with the midfielder forced off after just 14 minutes.
Fabregas has now been ruled out for the clash with Alex McLeish's men and it remains unclear as to how long the Spanish international will be sidelined for.
Wenger told Arsenal TV: "It is a very small injury but certainly Cesc will be out for Sunday. For how long (he will be out for) I don't know. He is disappointed. We all feel sorry and sad for him."
Those seeking a free bet on the first domestic final of the season will also note that Theo Walcott will be sidelined for the Carling Cup showpiece, after suffering an ankle sprain.
The Gunners will now have their fingers crossed that both players will be fit for the second leg of the Champions League tie with Barcelona at the Nou Camp on March 8.

I am really sorry for Fab and i think now he should at least be allowed to lead the team out on Sunday after the amount of work he has put in to help get this far and having been at Arsenal for so many years and his dream was to lead the team out in a Cup Final, now let it happen for him on Sunday.
