Gunners linked with Toon stars

Arsenal are being linked with a double swoop on Newcastle with Demba Ba and Yohan Cabaye the targets.

The Magpies have had to put up with constant rumours linking their star players with a move away from St James' Park and now Arsenal are rumoured to be in for the duo. Toon boss Alan Pardew is keen to keep hold of his star players but may face a battle to keep Ba unless he can get the prolific striker tied down to a new contract. Wenger wants to add another striker to his ranks and will be keeping an eye on Ba's contract situation as the player can leave on the cheap as things stand at the moment. The Gunners boss also wants a new midfielder and is reported to be targeting a move for his fellow countryman Cabaye, who has again been in outstanding form this season. Much will depend on what happens on the last day of the season and if Newcastle miss out on the Champions League, they could struggle to keep hold.
