Gunners locked in striker talks
Carlos Vela is closing in on a move to Real Sociedad but the Spanish outfit still have to agree a fee with Arsenal.
The young Mexican is free to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer but boss Arsene Wenger will not let him go on the cheap and is said to be holding out for £6million.
Vela feared that could prevent Sociedad from pursuing a permanent deal but the La Liga outfit are locked in talks with Gunners officials and hope a deal can be hammered out.
"It's going forward because we want him in the team next season, but we still want to be cautious because we have not closed the deal with Arsenal," Real Sociedad club President Jokin Aperribay revealed.
The 23-year-old impressed while on loan at the club last season when bagging 10 goals and all parties are involved are keen for a deal to go through if a fee can be agreed.
