Lazio have entered the race to sign Andrei Arshavin who will be allowed to leave Arsenal this summer.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen to clear the decks over the next few weeks to make room to bring in new blood and Arshavin is among the players he is ready to let go.
The Russian's former club Zenit St Petersburg looked favourites to strike a deal after he return there on loan last season but now reports say Lazio will offer him the chance of a fresh start in Italy.
The 31-year-old still has a year to run on his current deal at the Emirates Stadium but the Gunners are prepared to take a big loss on the £15million they paid just to get him off the wage bill.
There should be no shortage of interest in Arshavin despite his disappointing spell with Arsenal and a move should go through after Euro 2012.
