Arsenal have confirmed Wojciech Szczesny will miss the Champions League clash against Montpellier with an ankle injury.
The 22-year-old had only just returned to the Gunners side against Southampton at the weekend following a rib injury only to pick up an ankle problem that will keep him out of the trip to France.
It means number two Vito Mannone, who had impressed between the sticks while Szczesny was out, will return to the starting eleven at the Stade de la Mosson.
Youngster James Shea is also expected to be named among the substitutes as the Gunners look to kick off the group stages with a win against the French champions.
