Malaga rule out £16m winger bid
Arsenal will have to offer a lot more than £16million if they are to have a chance of landing Malaga winger Santi Cazorla.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for the Spanish international winger and reports have claimed they are ready to offer 20million euros for the talented 27-year-old.
However, Malaga are under no pressure to sell and coach Manuel Pellegrini says the kind of figure that has been mentioned will not be enough to lure the player away.
"Selling him for 20million is to gift him away, I don't think the club is in a position to do that or has the intention to do it," Pellegrini revealed.
"If important offers come in for players they are always worthy of consideration, but I don't think that for 20million Santi is going to leave the club because it would be, as I said, a gift."
Cazorla only joined Malaga from Villarreal last summer for 20million euros and the Andalusian club would want to make a significant profit if they were to sell.
