Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has said he hopes star striker Robin van Persie will decide to stay with the Gunners.
The Netherlands international confirmed earlier this summer that he does not intend to sign a new contract at the Emirates Stadium and has been linked with a move to Manchester City, United and Juventus.
All three clubs have made bids, believed to be in the region of £15million, for the 28-year-old but they have been dismissed by the Gunners as they are holding out for at least £25million before they will release the striker.
However, boss Arsene Wenger said on Saturday he is still trying to convince van Persie to stay and now Ramsey has revealed he too hopes the former PSV star will commit to the club rather than leave.
"He had a brilliant season last year and is a big player for us, so we are just hopeful that he will stay," said Ramsey.
"We don't know anything that goes on. We hope that he stays at Arsenal."
