Milan admit Ade bid
Arsenal, 16:55, June 27, 2009 ,
AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani says contact has been made with Arsenal over a possible deal for Emmanuel Adebayor.
Milan are keen to sign a new striker this summer and are still interested in a move for Adebayor, who they first expressed an interest in last summer.
The Gunners have managed to resist Milan's interest so far but it looks as though the Italian giants are ready to launch another bid, after admitting defeat in their attempts to land Wolfsburg star Edin Dzeko.
"We don't have any agreement with Dzeko," said Galliani. "He is a Wolfsburg player. Dzeko has expressed his liking for a move here but at this moment there are no negotiations yet.
"Adebayor and (Sevilla striker) Luis Fabiano are the alternatives. For Adebayor there has been a telephone call, during which (Arsenal manager Arsene) Wenger was friendly."
