New keeper linked

Arsenal are being linked with a move for Denmark keeper Anders Lindegaard but Manchester United are favourites to sign him.

Arsene Wenger's search for a new keeper has been going on for some time and seen them linked to a host of keepers and Lindegaard is the latest one, but rivals United appear to be one step ahead of them. Their coach Eric Steele was on hand to watch the keeper in action for the fifth time at the weekend and although his side lost 2-1, he was again said to have had a good game for his club, Aalesunds. United are reported to have held preliminary discussions with the Norwegian club over the possible transfer of the 26 year-old, Liverpool have also been linked with the player.
