No-go Kolo says Hill-Wood

Defender Kolo Toure has been told by Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood that his transfer request has been rejected.

The 27-year-old Ivory Coast international is reportedly unhappy at the Emirates Stadium following an alleged bust-up with William Gallas, while boss Arsene Wenger's decision to play Johan Djourou ahead of him in recent weeks has not gone down well either.

However, any prospect of Toure quitting the Gunners in this January transfer window has been scotched by Hill-Wood.

He told the Daily Star: "I know about it (the transfer request), but we are not going to accept it.

"We are not looking to let any of our players go and he is under contract and we expect him to honour it."
