Steve Bould heaped praise on Lukas Podolski as Arsenal came from behind to beat Montpellier 2-1 in the Champions League.
Younes Belhanda had given the home side the lead from the penalty after just nine minutes but the Gunners were soon back on level terms when Podolski fired home seven minutes later.
Gervinho then made it 2-1 on 18 minutes and the Gunners went on to see out the victory. Bould, who was stepping in for the suspended Arsene Wenger was delighted with the fight back but had special praise for Podolski.
"Podolski's made an impact. I've not seen many finishers as good as him ? ever. Right foot, left foot," he revealed. "He goes in hard in training. He's a good trainer, a good boy. He's really added something."
Bould says Arsenal were excellent in the first half and although they faded after the break, he was just delighted to get the win.
"We were excellent in the first half," he added. "We kept the ball and kept the crowd quiet. We looked a little bit tired in the second half. It was tough. It's quite an intimidating place to come and play so we're glad to get the result.
"We've had a decent start to the season and kept the run going so it's important all round."
