Rivals issue hands-off warning

Arsenal, 18:22, July 11, 2009 ,

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson insists that Brede Hangeland is not for sale despite rumours linking him with a move to Arsenal.

The Gunners, Aston Villa and Manchester City have all been linked with a move for the big Norwegian but as far as Hodgson is concerned the player will be staying at Craven Cottage.
"He's a Fulham player, he's got a two-year contract at Fulham," Hodgson revealed. "We don't really intend to sell him, and he's very happy at the club.
"We've even offered him a new contract, an improved contract, which I think he's mulling over. Because he hasn't immediately jumped at the chance of a new contract, people are suggesting that there will be some movement. But I will be surprised if he moved."
