RVP quit reports mount
Reports are growing that Robin van Persie is set to walk out on Arsenal and join Manchester City this summer.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is battling to keep hold of the Dutchman who has just 12 months remaining on his current contract and if reports are to be believed he could be edging closer to the exit door. Wenger has always maintained that van Persie will stay and only last week ruled out the striker leaving the club but speculation suggests otherwise and a move to City could be on the cards. Talks between van Persie and Wenger did not go well at the end of the season and some reports have even suggested that the player made his mind up back in March that he would be signing for City. Van Persie is still under contract and Arsenal could refuse to sell and then let him to leave for nothing in 12 months. However, in reality the club will want to recoup some cash and a big offer from City could win the day. Juventus have been linked but it is thought van Persie does not want to move to Serie A and wants to stay in the Premier League, making City the obvious choice.
