Sahin close to Gunners move

Arsenal are closing in on a move for Nuri Sahin and are said to be in advanced talks with Real Madrid over a season-long loan deal.

The Turkish international playmaker is unlikely to get much game time at the Bernabeu next season and boss Jose Mourinho is keen to loan him out for the campaign.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has targeted the youngster as someone to fill the void while Jack Wilshere battles back to full fitness and a deal is said to be on the verge of going through.
Wenger would like the option to take the player on a permanent basis at the end of the campaign but Real are reluctant to agree a fee at this stage and it looks like just being a straight loan deal for now.
Tottenham and Manchester United have also been linked but Arsenal are in the box seat and hope to announce a deal this week. The Gunners are also closing on Santi Cazorla, with the winger due to arrive in London to wrap up a deal in the next 24 hours.
