AS Roma are keeping tabs on William Gallas who could leave Arsenal on a free transfer in the summer.
Gallas is due to fall out of contract at the end of the season but has yet to sign a new one and Roma coach Claudio Ranieri has confirmed his interest in taking him to Italy.
"William has done well at Chelsea and Arsenal," Ranieri revealed. "All the top players would do well at Roma."
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is ready to offer the 32-year-old a two-year deal but it could mean a drop in wages for the defender, who is unlikely to accept a pay cut.
The Frenchman will have plenty of options and a fresh challenge in Italy could appeal.
