Star ruled out for Gunners

Arsenal, 13:15, October 2, 2009 ,

Arsenal hope to welcome back Theo Walcott for the visit of Blackburn Rovers but Eduardo has been ruled out.

The England international has not figured for the Gunners this season because of a back injury but after coming through a practice match in midweek, is in line to make his return to the side against Sam Allardyce's men on Sunday.
However, the Gunners have been rocked by the news Eduardo picked up a side strain against Olympiakos in midweek and will miss out.
Elsewhere, Nicklas Bendtner picked up bumps and bruises in a minor car crash last Sunday but should be fit to take his place but Denilson is definitely out after suffering a small fracture in his back.
"Unfortunately, we lost Eduardo after he came on," Wenger revealed. "It was a gamble to play him and unfortunately his muscle injury got worse. He will be out. It is the same thigh muscle and has recurred a few times now. But Walcott and Bendtner are available."
