Montpellier striker Olivier Giroud is staying tight lipped over reports he is close to signing for Arsenal.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is said to be closing in on the player after reportedly agreeing a fee in the region of £12million for the France international. Montpellier coach Rene Girard added fuel to the fire last week when he said that Arsenal were set to beat off interest from Germany to land the player, but Giroud is refusing to discuss his future at this stage. The 25-year-old wants to stay focused on his performances for France at Euro 2012 and batted off questions over his future when quizzed about a move to the Emirates Stadium. "It's nice that people talk about me but I can't talk about my future right now," the player revealed. It is understandable that Giroud would play down the move but it is thought a deal is virtually in the bag and all will be revealed after the tournament is over.
