Arsene Wenger claims that striker Eduardo is close to making a first-team comeback following his career-threatening injury.
The Croatian international has been out of action since February when he suffered the sickening leg and ankle problems against Birmingham City.
The Gunners boss revealed that the 25-year-old is now playing in full-scale training games although he still needs to get reserve team action under his belt.
Wenger is hoping he may be back in action early in the new year if he manages to get a couple of reserve team games under his belt.
"He is joining in full training matches, but he needs games as soon as possible, he will play now," said Wenger.
