Striker Milan switch denied
Arsenal, 13:43, June 9, 2009 ,
Edin Dzeko could still be on his way to Arsenal after his agent denied reports suggesting the striker had signed for AC Milan.
The Gunners are known to be in the hunt for the Wolfsburg star but their hopes of landing him looked to be over after reports in Italy claimed the Serbian ace had agreed to sign for Milan.
However, his agent Irfan Redzepagic has dismissed such talk and says no agreement is in place with the Italian giants. That means Arsenal are still in the hunt although the Gunners themselves have yet to follow up their initial interest by making a firm bid.
"Edin Dzeko is a Wolfsburg player and he still has a two year contract left to run with the German side," Redzepagic revealed.
"Reports saying that Milan are in talks with Dzeko are not true. I have been contacted by clubs and there are teams in England, Spain, Germany and Italy who are interested in him, but we have not received any concrete deal on the table yet.
"There are no offers for the moment, but it's possible that he could leave for another club. I don't have any information of a deal between Milan and Wolfsburg."
