Target set for Lille switch
Arsenal look set to miss out on transfer target Marvin Martin who is thought to favour a move to French outfit Lille.
Arsene Wenger has made signing a new midfielder one of his top priorities this summer and Martin is reported to be on his list of targets following some fine performances for Sochaux this season.
Valencia are also said to be keen but the midfielder wants to stay in France and is targeting a move to Lille, who want him to replace another Gunners target Eden Hazard.
Wenger will be priced out of a move for Hazard who will join either Manchester United or City and in a double whammy he could also miss out on Martin as well.
Reports in France say talks between Sochaux and Lille are at an advanced stage and a deal for the 23-year-old will soon be sorted out.
With a move for Yann M'Vila also in doubt Wenger is having difficulty finding the midfielder to finally fill the void left by Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri.
