Theo stays a Gunner
Theo Walcott will stay with Arsenal until January at least after holding talks with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger yesterday.
Walcott is a target for Manchester City and Liverpool and it looked as though the winger could have been on the move before tomorrow's transfer deadline after the Gunners failed to tie him down to a new deal. The 23-year-old has just 12 months remaining on his current contract but it has been agreed between both parties that he will not be sold during this transfer window. However he could be on the move in January if a new deal cannot be agreed in the next few months and Arsenal are again struggling to win silverware. Walcott wants a long-term contract worth £100,000 a week but reports claim the Gunners are only willing to offer him £75,000 a week and they could lose another star player unless his demands are met. However the good news is the player is staying for now and Manchester City will be forced to look elsewhere.
