Robin van Persie will snub interest from Juventus and other European clubs in favour of signing a new deal with Arsenal.

The Dutchman has just over a year to run on his current contract and until he pens a new one rumours will continue to link him with a move to Spain or Italy. Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are keen but it is Juventus who are the first club to publicly admit they want to take the player to Italy in the summer. "Van Persie is a great player,' said Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta. "He is a complete player and would be useful to any team. But he still has one year left in his contract with Arsenal. "We will try to put the icing on the cake this summer but the important thing is that the mix is good.' However, Van Persie has no interest in moving to Italy and he looks ready to commit his future to the Gunners. The Dutchman is said to be settled in London and after buying a new house with his wife in the area, it is a clear indication he will be staying Arsenal for some time.
