Vela linked with Tigers
Hull are believed to be lining up a loan swoop for Arsenal's highly-rated young striker Carlos Vela in January's transfer window.
The Mexican frontman has been very impressive in the Gunners' Carling Cup campaign this season, but has struggled to gain a starting place in the squad for league games.
Vela, who has scored four goals in two League Cup appearances, has caught the eye of several managers but Phil Brown appears in pole position for a loan swoop.
It is claimed that Hull, who are looking to improve their strike rate, have been told by Arsenal that they have a good chance of landing the 19-year-old on a temporary basis.
Long-term injury absentee Eduardo is closing in a return in the next month and that could tempt Arsene Wenger into allowing Vela to get some first-team action under his belt.
