Wenger hails committed Walcott

Arsene Wenger has praised Theo Walcott for his commitment to Arsenal and is hoping the player will sign a new deal asap.

Walcott is out of contract in the summer but again showed how important he is to the Gunners when he bagged a hat-trick during Tuesday night's amazing 7-5 victory over Reading.
Wenger says the attitude shown by Walcott despite all the speculation over his future, cannot be questioned and is hoping a deal can be finally hammered out.
"I always said I want to keep him," Wenger revealed. "Apart from the contract talks we have to give him credit for the way he is committed to the team and the way he behaves."
Walcott's hat-trick is further evidence that he can make it as an out-and-out striker and if Wenger can give him assurances of his future role in the side then he is likely to put pen-to-paper.
A host of clubs at home and abroad are sniffing around but it is thought Walcott would prefer to stay at the Emirates Stadium if he gets his chance up front.
