Wenger linked with Italian swoop

Arsenal are showing an interest in the highly-rated Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini, according to reports in Italy.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger wants to bring a new striker to the Emirates Stadium in the January window and is ready to turn to Pazzini who is valued in the region of £16million.
The 25-year-old has been in fine form this season as Sampdoria have mounted a challenge for the top four in Serie A and the Gunners are one of a number of clubs to show an interest.
Chelsea are also said to be keen after the club's transfer ban was suspended and it looks as though a battle could be on the cards for Pazzini's services.
