Wenger looks to secure Ox future

Arsenal hope to secure the long-term future of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain by getting him tied down to a bumper new deal.

The 19-year-old still has four years to run on his current deal but boss Arsene Wenger is keen to rip it up and give him a new one on vastly improved personal terms.
The Frenchman would rather do it now than in two years time when his stock will no doubt have risen further and rival clubs could be trying to tempt him away by offering big money.
Wenger has already been forced to cash in on Robin Van Persie after letting him run his contract down to the last 12 months and the same has happened Theo Walcott.
The Gunners boss does not want the same to happen with Oxlade-Chamberlain and he also hopes by getting the youngster tied down to a new deal, Walcott may also decide to commit his future.
