Wenger loses injured Sagna

Arsenal, 11:23, November 16, 2008

Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna could miss key games against Manchester City and Chelsea because of an ankle injury.

The 25-year-old could also miss the Carling Cup quarter-final against Burnley on December 2 after he was stretchered off in the 2-0 defeat by Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

"Yes, it is serious," manager Arsene Wenger revealed to the club's official website.

"He will be out for a few weeks, he has an injured ankle."

Wenger has also pulled Sagna out of the France squad for their friendly against Uruguay in Paris on Wednesday.
