Wenger puts faith in kids against experienced City

Arsenal, 11:34, December 1, 2009 ,

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is expected to make full use of his squad again in Wednesday's Carling Cup quarter-final at Man City.

The Eastlands showdown is another opportunity for several fringe and youth team Gunners players to make a name for themselves, with Wenger expected to continue with his policy of fielding a side featuring plenty of his exciting youngsters.
The Gunners boss, who has insisted his side can still win the Premier League despite the 3-0 defeat against Chelsea on Sunday, will again turn to the likes of Carlos Vela, Aaron Ramsey, Fran Merida and Sanchez Watt on Wednesday.
However, City, who have beaten Crystal Palace, Fulham and Scunthorpe in the competition so far, will more than likely field as strong a side as possible with top stars Stephen Ireland, Carlos Tevez, Gareth Barry and Emmanuel Adebayor all set to face the Gunners.
Mark Hughes' men are on a run of seven consecutive draws in the league so he will hope the Carling Cup can provide a welcome distraction and help get them back to winning ways.
It looks like being a tough game to call but if punters fancy Arsenal's talented youngsters to inflict more Eastlands misery on City, they can make use of a free bet and back the visitors to book their semi-final place.
