Wenger targets La Liga ace

Arsenal are being linked with a swoop for Adrian Lopez after the striker refused to sign a new deal with Atletico Madrid.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has already added Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud to his squad this summer but there could be room for another striker in his squad as he looks to move players out. Carlos Vela, Nicklas Bendtner and Marouane Chamakh could all be on the move this summer while doubts also continue to surround the future of Robin van Persie. Wenger insists the Dutchman is staying but even if he does, a move for Lopez could still be on the cards as he looks to ship the other three out before the closure of the transfer window. Lopez has yet to sign a new contract and reports in Spain say both Arsenal and Bayern Munich are keen to strike a deal for the 24-year-old Spanish international.
