Wenger wants more signings
Arsene Wenger says he is still keen to bring in new players before the transfer deadline after watching Arsenal draw another blank.
The Gunners had to settle for another goalless draw at Stoke on Sunday to add to the stalemate against Sunderland on the opening day and it is hardly the start to the season Wenger was looking for. Wenger has already drafted in Olivier Giroud, Lukas Podolski and Santi Cazorla this summer and although he admits it will take them time to settle, the Frenchman is well aware that further additions may be needed. Midfield is an area that needs strengthening following the departure of Alex Song but Wenger says if the right quality player becomes available he will move for them no matter what their position. "I'm pleased with what we've done but I anticipate we will do something and we are still on the market," Wenger revealed after the Britannia Stadium clash. "It depends on the quality of players who are available. If we can find somebody who can strengthen our squad with the quality we want we will do it in any position."
