Wenger's waiting game

Arsenal, 22:07, July 20, 2010 ,

Arsene Wenger says he is still in the dark over the future of Sol Campbell despite offering him another year at Arsenal.

Newcastle and Celtic are also interested in signing the veteran defender on a free transfer after his impressive second spell with the Gunners last season.
The 36-year-old returned to the club on a short-term deal in the New Year and Wenger is keen to utilise the former England international again this term.
Campbell, who turns 36 in September, is currently away on his honeymoon after getting married at the weekend so no announcement is imminent it would seem.
"Campbell is still in no-man's land at the moment," Wenger told Arsenal TV Online, before also referring to fellow defenders Mikael Silvestre and William Gallas.
"At the moment none of them have signed again for us.
"There is nothing special to say about that [but] I believe that Gallas and Silvestre will sign somewhere else."
Gallas is believed to be in talks with Greek side Panathinaikos while Silvestre is still on the lookout for a new club.
