Aston Villa are being linked with a move for Manchester City's Micah Richards as the defender struggles for action.
Richards has struggled to make an impact at Eastlands despite bursting on to the scene as a youngster and he has also fallen out of favour with England coach Fabio Capello.
The defender is now keen to move on in search of first-team football in the January window and Villa boss Martin O'Neill is hoping to do a deal if he can agree a fee with City.
Richards can play in central defence and right-back and would no doubt jump at the chance of a move to Villa Park. A battle could be on for his services though as Chelsea and Manchester United are also thought to be keen.
